Rodney Dillard launched his real estate career in 1962 with Previews, Inc., the premier international real estate marketing company. He became Vice President of Previews concentrating on the marketing of luxury properties throughout Florida, the Bahamas and the Caribbean. During his tenure, Rodney Dillard participated, with HG Christie, in the sales of several large islands in the Bahamas which included Whale Cay, Rudder Cut Cay and Norman's Cay in the Bahamas. In 1975, he started Illustrated Properties Inc. in Palm Beach, which evolved into Illustrated Properties Real Estate, Inc. and Illustrated Properties International, Inc. In 1979, Rodney Dillard joined Parke Bernet International Realty and became Vice President and Director of the company, which became Sotheby's International Realty, Inc. He spearheaded the opening of the company's Palm Beach Brokerage Department and the development of Sotheby's affiliated broker program throughout the Southeastern U.S., Bahamas and the Caribbean. While at Sotheby's, he was involved in the sale of many exceptional properties including the 24,000 acre Peacock Ranch near Ft. Pierce, the 4,000 acre Rockefeller resort on St. Croix and the Young and Bolton Estates in Palm Beach for record prices. In 1990, Rodney Dillard was appointed President of the John's Island Real Estate Company in Vero Beach and was responsible for the completion of the developer's sales and the brokerage operation for the exclusive John's Island community. Currently, Rodney Dillard is president of Illustrated Properties International, which specializes in the marketing and sale of resort properties throughout the Bahamas and the Caribbean in cooperation with local real estate companies. Dillard also holds the office of Vice President of Illustrated Properties Real Estate Inc.'s which concentrates on the sale of Palm Beach luxury properties. |
